CEO's strategy review

Your confidential sounding board

Many leaders lack advanced training in strategy. All leaders are expected to be skilled at it. The result is often a significant gap between expectations and competence at a time in a leader’s career when asking for help can be the toughest.

Marketry’s strategy review is designed for CEOs, managing directors, executives and other senior leaders. It offers a confidential sounding board to review your strategy and give you frank feedback with the benefit of:

  • Expert assessment

  • Independent advice

  • Practical improvements.

The service is best suited to mid-term strategies (three-to-five-year timeframes) that haven’t been launched or are nearing an annual refresh.

However, it can be used to:

  • Test early concept strategies to strengthen them before engaging a wider range of stakeholders

  • Evaluate strategies nearing their end for lessons and improvements before a new round of strategy development

  • Provide a sense-check at any stage during implementation to inform a course correction.

The primary focus is your documented strategy. However, Marketry’s broader expertise can be applied to offer supporting advice in areas such as strategy development processes, leadership team collaboration, employee communication and engagement, brand management alignment, long-term strategy alignment and short-term implementation.

The service is a fixed scope for a fixed fee, giving you certainty and transparency for your investment with complete discretion. The report and its recommendations seek to embed upskilling where possible to empower leaders.

Scope
  • Initial 1-hour context briefing (online – optional)

  • Desktop strategy review (plan-on-a-page up to approx 12 A4 pages)

  • Analysis and recommendations development

  • Succinct assessment report

  • Close-out 1-hour findings briefing (online – optional)

Investment

$4,000 + GST

The optional context briefing is an opportunity to give your strategy and/or its development process context, providing specific focus for the review.

The findings briefing is an opportunity to ask questions and gain additional advice tailored to your situation. For clients not interested in one or both briefings, the fee does not change.

Process
  • Send your expression of interest

  • Receive your invoice, client service agreement and GoCardless direct debit link

  • Pay your 50% deposit upfront, share your strategy and schedule your optional briefings

  • Receive your assessment report

  • Auto-pay your final 50% instalment

Once your strategy is received and 50% deposit made, pending your availability for briefings, the full review will be delivered within four weeks – typically earlier. Direct debit payments are managed via GoCardless in two instalments. Deposits are non-refundable but the project can be deferred for up to three months if the need arises and the deposit has already been paid. Reports are guaranteed to be received before the final 50% instalment (direct debit).

A close-out briefing not scheduled prior to the final payment, including a close-out briefing that was originally declined, can be requested anytime up to six months after the report is issued as part of the original fee.

This service is designed to deliver maximum value to leaders with the least logistical fuss for you (and Marketry) as a short-term engagement.

Confidentiality

All services are bound by strict confidentiality, covered by the one-page client service agreement. Elizabeth Graetz is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. As such, her work is also bound by professional codes of conduct. Clients have the option of their original strategy documents being deleted in full once the report and optional close-out briefing are delivered.

If a non-disclosure agreement is still required, an additional fee of $500 + GST will be added to the overall service.
